Record is 2-1 +3.65 units

Well I suffered a bad beat last night with the Yankees, but the Astros won fairly easily along with the Brewers winning easily! On that note, I look for the St Louis Cardinals to have a losing skid for a while. They will of course still win their division, but i think that the Astros will finish in second about 3-4 games out by the end of the season. If the Astros didnt have to actually PLAY the Cardinals again for the rest of the season, they might actually win the division! But I will admit it, the Cardinals ARE the Astros DADDY!!! As a season ticket holder for the Astros, the Cardinals cost me World Series tickets last year! But then again the Astros sort of blew that seried themselves! On to todays action.

One more thing, can someone tell me why we cant give detailed analysis of each pick??? That just doesnt seem to make any sense why people wouldnt want to know WHY someone liked a game over another! I would love to read the analysis of each play. I will try and put a few sentences below each pick for one reason to why I like the play. I would post detailed analysis if anyone posts that they would like to see them on a daily basis! Although, I have a feeling that I am talking to myself. I just wanted my prediction about the Cardinals above to be on the record!!

1. Houston -154 5 units (Only with Roger Clemens starting the game, otherwise no play)

Clemens is actually a better pitcher on the road this season than at home! Even though the Astros were on a road trip this week, Clemens spent the time on the East Coast watching his son play ball for the Astros minor league team. He worked out while their, but wouldnt be affected by a long road trip as other players might be. Some may not know this, but Roger does not travel with the team to a city if he is not pitching in that series! Must be nice! In his last 3 starts, he has an ERA of 1.29 and a record of 2-1. The ERA would be much lower, but he pitched IN ST LOUIS on Sunday and gave up 3 runs! Houston has won 5 games in a row and Washington in the tank with a record of 2-8 in their last 10 games INCLUDING 2 losses to a real bad Colorado team on the road.

2. Seattle Mariners +115 3 units (Only with Jamie Moyer pitching, otherwise no play)

Moyer has been real hot lately 2-0 record and an ERA of 2.85 for his last 3 starts. Those are good numbers for the American League

3. St Louis under 7.5 runs -115 5 units (Obviously, only with Carpenter and Zambrano on the mound)

Well I said it above that the Cardinals would go on a losing streak, but not until after tonight. I LOVE betting the Cardinals today, but the line is a bit high for me. I was thinking that with the Cubs playing well lately that the line would be closer to about -135 or so. Zambrano has a record of 7-4 with a yearly ERA of 3.61. Not too bad for a Wrigley Field pitcher. But more importantly, he is 2-0 with a 2.05 ERA in his last 3 starts.

But Zambrano is not the reason to take this game under. The reason is CRIS CARPENTER! He is 14-4 for the season with an ERA of a meniscule 2.35. But he is 3-0 in his last 3 starts with an ERA of .37!!!!! And that includes a start against Roger Clemens and the surging Astros.

I am not a Carpenter said really since I can remember from past years, but this year he is the bomb and most likely choice for NL CY Young! Althoug, I will still pull for Roger to win the Cy Young.

I look for a 2-1 game with 3 runs scored MAX!!!!! I am not sure who wins this one, and obviously I am sort of pulling for the Cubs here!

Not too sure why you guys made the no comments rule. That makes absolutely no sense. Heck to newbies to the site, it gives this site more credibility with writeups in my opinion.

Other sites use writeups as well. If someone wants to use writeups then it should be allowed, just doesnt seem good for this site without writeups!

But, I finally see why not too many people check this forum on a daily basis.

Writeups are necessary at times to show how much someone likes a game. Personally, I will say that I would only follow somone eho at least said why he liked a certain game.

Nice day today with an EASY 3-0!

Not sure why we cant post writeups here, but I guess that I wont do so. It doesnt make any sense at all, but oh well. Of course in my writeups, I NOT ONLY told you to take the under in St Louis, but I also said that the final would be 2-1. And OF COURSE it was a 2-1 final!! But then again, writeups are bad for everyone, YEAH RIGHT!!!!

Well that Atlanta under pick was a tough loss today! But at least Atlanta held on and St Louis looks good so far.

I actually no longer like the Astros pick too much, but will leave it as a pick anyway
